Easier to distinguish from the other two, Dammah is the third "short vowel".

1. Just like Kasrah, there are also two ways of reading letters with Dammah.

​

        Ma'roof : (Baa + Dammah = Bo) , (Jeem + Dammah = Jo ) , (Seen + Dammah = So ) , (Zaa + Dammah = Zo )

        Majhool : (Baa + Dammah = Bow) , (Jeem + Dammah = Joe ) , (Seen + Dammah = Sow ) , (Zaa + Dammah = Zow )

Letters with Dammah should ALWAYS be read Ma'roof, and NOT Majhool.

2. While saying a letter with Dammah, the lips should be shaped round.
